Whenever I tried to Initialize Disk, with either MBR or GPT, it would say Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).
The Drive didn't have any type of unallocated space or allocated space marked in the drive section ģ. The Drive didn't have any drive letter Ģ. So I thought that the drive must have any other problem, so I went to the DIsk Management Utility inside Windows, and then I found this.ġ. So, when I plugged my Hard Disk using the USB cable, I didn't see the drive, I thought it might be a connection problem, so I disconnected and reconnected, to be noted, whenever I connected the drive, the PC would give a 'Disk Connect Sound'. All the more reason to do backups & then scan HDD when this happens. I went and grabbed my external hard disk today to get a file for a friend. HDD 'Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)' Select from the two options: ‘Automatically fix file system errors’ or ‘Scan for an attempted recovery of bad sectors’.
